Owner, Hair Stylist, & Extension Specialist
Avory Block
​
Avory graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Orlando fall of 2015 as valedictorian of her class and received the highest honors of Dean's List. Her passion for the beauty industry started way before that though, growing up in her mom's salon she started working with hair extensions and styling when she was 16 years old.
While attending Paul Mitchell, Avory worked for a company subcontracted by Disney that participated in production hair and makeup. She also volunteered for Real Talk, a Christian talk show hosted at Real Life in central Florida. Avory also has worked on music videos, photo shoots and weddings.
Her true passion is transforming her guests into long-haired, beautiful mermaids. She is certified in Bellami Hair Extensions, Dream Catcher Extensions, Bombshell Extensions, Katie Roger's Mermaid Hair from Dallas, Texas and the globally famous men's hair replacement Hair Skeen. She currently owns and operates The Modern Salon in Sarasota, Florida.

With 36 years of experience as a professional stylist, Kristi specializes in all hair types, re-texturizing, coloring, and special occasion hair styling. Kristi has been with and owned this salon for 15 years, which was previously known as Tangerine Salon. Recently, Kristi had the honor of passing ownership to her daughter, Avory, who grew up immersed in the salon business and is now continuing our legacy of exceptional service.
Kristi is passionate about her craft, the opportunity to meet new people, and creating personalized styles that make her clients feel their best. Kristi's services are available by appointment only, and her hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.

Nadira is a hairstylist who has been working in the hair industry for five years since she was in high school assisting at a local salon in her hometown. After high school Nadira moved from Maryland to Sarasota to pursue her passion for creating beauty that goes beyond the surface. Specializing in freehand balayage, blonding, French haircutting, and extensions, she crafts effortless, lived-in styles that enhance natural beauty and inspire lasting confidence. With a commitment to ongoing education and a personalized, luxury experience, Nadira ensures every guest feels seen, celebrated, and empowered inside and out.

Born and raised in the Sarasota-Bradenton area, she has grown up loving the Florida sunshine and being outdoors. Along the way, she has learned the harsh side effects of the sun and what it does to the skin. She believes that balance and maintenance is key for healthy skin! Danielle is also certified in permanent make up and a licensed tattoo artist, currently specializing in brows & tiny fine line tattoos. With her creative edge and passion for art, she has always wanted to help women (and men) boost their confidence level.
